LIBRARY

The school maintains a well-stocked library. There are a large number of dailies, weeklies, periodicals and journals in the institution library. Students, teachers and other members of the staff of the school are entitled to become members of the library; some books are kept reserved for campus study only. Students are required to carry the Identity Cards on their persons while using Library/Reading Room.

LIBRARY RULES

  1. One book once a week may be issued to a student on production of Library Card.

  2. Students should carefully examine the books issued to them before leaving the library counter. If any damage to the book issued is noticed, it should be reported to the Library Incharge immediately. Otherwise, he/she will be responsible for the damage if detected afterwards at the time of return.

  3. Any student retaining the book beyond the stipulated time shall pay a fine of Rs. 10.00 per day till the book is returned. However an amount of Rs. 20.00 per day will be charged in case of reference books.

  4. No books will be issued to the defaulting student until the fine is paid. A student failing to return book consecutively for 3 times, shall forfeit his/her membership to the library.

  5. The books borrowed from the library must be returned 7 days before the commencement of Annual promotional/Test examination; otherwise the result of the students will be kept withheld.


 

Handling of Library Resources:

  1. The resources such as Books, Periodicals, e-Resources, etc. available in the College Library have been purchased not only to extend services to the present members but also for the future members of the library. Hence, the member, while utilizing these resources, should not tamper the document, write upon, damage, torn down the pages or mark on any library materials.
  2. Members should also take care of Copyright issue while utilizing the resources and he/she will be solely held responsible for any violation.
  3. When the book has been issued by College Library, the member should carefully examine/check and satisfy themselves whether the book issued to him/her is in good condition or not. And, If the book is not in good condition, the member should immediately inform to the library staff available at issue counter, otherwise, the member will be held responsible for any compensation such as replacement of the book or payment of the book fixed by the Librarian.

Library Clearance:

At the time of leaving the Institute finally, the member of library must submit the library property, if it is issued or lying with member, to the College Library  and member must obtain a “Library Clearance” certificate from the College Library, in order to ensure that member does not have any overdue charge with him/her.
